Seventy two hours after the devastating earthquake in Haiti, BILD hilft e.V. "Ein Herz für Kinder" was already sending initial relief supplies and helpers for Haiti. Together with other relief supplies, BILD hilft e.V. "Ein Herz für Kinder" almost made possible the transport of the Haiti-Heli, the "Helicopter of the heart". As an independent relief organisation "Ein Herz für Kinder" supports and promotes specific relief projects in Germany and abroad.

Humedica Internationale Hilfe

Humedica Internationale Hilfe from Kaufbeuren has been involved in Haiti since 2008. Humedica is currently on the ground at the disaster area with three medical teams. Injured and homeless people and orphans are receiving mobile care in hospitals in Port-au-Prince and Léogâne.

Human Plus

The main aim of this charitable association from Nettetal is to support distressed children and young people. Human Plus cooperates with children’s clinics and children’s homes to which donations are regularly given. Human Plus has already sent a total of over 20 tonnes of relief supplies, food and dressings etc. to the Caribbean.

Ärzte der Welt

Ärzte der Welt have been working in Haiti for more than 15 years. More than 50 international employees are deployed in hospitals in the capital of Port-au-Prince, Petit Goâve, Jacmel and in the Grande Anse region and they also provide support for approximately 250 provisional camps with mobile teams.

LandsAid

LandsAid has been in Haiti with four mobile medical teams since the earthquake. The starting point for these teams is the children's hospital in Saint Damien. The relief organisation is currently starting the second project: an orthopaedic workshop to supply the injured with artificial limbs.
