For CPL-A licence holders
The Federal Office of Civil Aeronautics (LBA) in Braunschweig allows for the following relaxation of requirements for the CPL-H helicopter pilot training in accordance with appendix 2 of JAR-FCL 2.050. he relaxation of requirements concerns the modular and the integrated education way of the CPL(H) helicopter pilot training equally.
Relaxation of requirements for theoretical training
Since the theoretical content in particular has already been taught if the licence has been acquired, the theoretical training can be greatly reduced on application to the Federal Office of Civil Aeronautics. The following subject areas must still be taught and an examination subsequently taken at the Federal Office of Civil Aeronautics:
- General aircraft science
- Flight performance and flight planning
- Operating procedures
- Aerodynamics
Relaxation of requirements for practical training
In order to obtain a relaxation of requirements for practical training, Heli Aviation must apply directly to the Federal Office of Civil Aeronautics (LBA) in Braunschweig. The extent to which requirements are relaxed depends on the practical flight experience already gained by the pilot in question.
