Examination fees
Unfortunately examination fees are not included in the overall prices of the fixed price offers! These must normally be paid in cash at the test centre in question.

Could further costs arise?
Additional costs can only arise if you require more flying hours than prescribed by the legal specifications. Then Heli Aviation will invoice the additional flying hours including flight instructor, briefing, fuel and landing fees to you separately.

Content of training for flight instructor rating FI(H)

Theoretical and practical training content of the training for flight instructor rating FI(H). The education takes place in Augsburg, Worms, Tannheim and Wallerstein.

The training to obtain the helicopter flight instructor rating FI(H) is divided into theoretical training and practical flight training.

Course of the training for flight instructor rating FI(H).

Theoretical training

According to the new JAR-FCL regulations, the theoretical training includes at least 125 hours. The experienced flight instructors of Heli Aviation have prepared the theory in accordance with legal requirements in order to provide the training in a compact but nevertheless comprehensive manner. The theoretical training includes the following specialisations:

  • Learning process
  • Principles of training
  • Applied learning methodology
  • Development of training programmes
  • Risks and malfunctions when conducting a flight
  • Night flight training
  • Administration matters in the training

Practical flight training

The practical training to obtain the flight instructor rating requires 30 flight hours. These must be conducted as described in the following:

  • 25 hours with a qualified flight instructor
  • The remaining five hours can be conducted as joint flight training (i.e. two candidates fly together and perform flying manoeuvres).
