Training as a private helicopter pilot PPL-H
Make your dream of flying come true, with a private helicopter pilot license (PPL-H). Whether as a hobby or as a commercial transport alternative – your own helicopter pilot license offers you the highest degree of travel comfort and unforgettable experiences.
Heli Aviation is one of the few flight training schools in Europe offering you training as a helicopter pilot at a fixed price! With personal supervision by a permanent contact person and experienced flight teachers, we guide you through the theoretical and practical flight training until you acquire your license.
Requirement for training
Before the start of training, you must meet several legal requirements as a private helicopter pilot. Below we have listed these requirements and the documents we need for your registration:
- Minimum age 16 years at the beginning of training and 17 years upon acquisition of the license (flight trainee minors also need a declaration of consent from their parent or guardian)
- Proof of identity in the form of a copy of your personal ID or passport
- Two current passport photos
- Proof of attendance of "First Aid" or "Emergency Procedures at the Scene of an Accident" or a valid driver license
- Aviation medicine certificate of fitness class 2
- Current official good-conduct certificate (corresponds to the certificate issued by the police, document category O)
- With proof of a valid ZÜP (Reliability review) no certificate issued by the police, document category O must be presented
- Current excerpt from the central traffic register
- Declaration of any pending criminal proceedings
With Heli Aviation you do not require a BZF 2 radio-telephony certificate before training. It is part of the theoretical training and already included in our fixed price offer. Further information is available on the page Training content for PPL-H.

Training on the Guimbal Cabri G2!
With four Guimbal helicopters actively participating in the training operation, Heli Aviation GmbH provides the largest Cabri G2 fleet used in an aviation school and can thus act extremely flexibly during training of helicopter pilots. With its 3-blade main rotor and Fenestron tail rotor, the French helicopter is particularly agile and has been highly praised in the trade press.
Alternatively you can complete the training as a helicopter pilot on a combination of the Guimbal Cabri G2 and the Robinson R44 Raven II or exclusively on the R44.
Heli Aviation offers the training in each case at a fixed price if you complete the training within the legally required specifications. About the training offers.
