With forest fires, seconds are often crucial in determining whether and how the sources of fire spread. Our pilots have completed special mission trainings on how to precisely discharge water for fire fighting.
Fire-fighting
In the area of forest fire fighting, our helicopters are equipped with an extinguishing system enabling the pilot to fight the sources of fire in a carefully targeted manner.
Depending on the system, the fire-fighting water can be sprayed at high pressure. This increases the water surface and enables a greater extinguishing effect even with smaller amounts of fire water.
In most cases, the equipment required is provided by the nations and fire brigades concerned and secured to the external load hooks of the helicopter.
