Powerline Inspections

With the helicopter inspection flights of Heli Aviation GmbH, all types of high voltage power lines, such as overhead power lines, distribution lines and railway overhead contact lines can be inspected. Here, three types of inspection can be combined as required and performed in a particularly cost-effective manner. Parallel to the helicopter inspection flight, the ground crews of the customer can follow the monitoring live and, if need be, rectify any faults immediately.

Using high-resolution special cameras, the flights are filmed and analysed by Heli Aviation. These recordings are then appropriately prepared and made available to the customer in the form of a detailed failure and data analysis with individual recommendations for action.

If required, digital sets of maps are created in Google Earth to enable faster and clear localisation of the defects.

Daylight inspection (DI)

High resolution film images of entire power line systems. The scope of the documentation is agreed with the customer.

Normally the lines, masts, foundations, booms, vibrations dampers, spacers and the surrounding vegetation are filmed and analysed and inspected for foreign bodies.

Infrared inspection (IRI)

With the PolyTech Kelvin 350 IV high-quality film images are created for identifying thermal differences with an accuracy of up to 0.02 °C.

This type of inspection is particularly suitable for lines, connections and clamps.

Corona inspection (CI)

With PolyTech Corona 350 ISP unwanted electrical discharge can be visualised on the video image.

This type of inspection is particularly suitable for destroyed, corroded or dirty lines, insulators and spacers. So even damage that is barely visible can be detected and documented.

Transparent costs

The power line Inspections of Heli Aviation GmbH are calculable and transparent. They are calcu- lated per kilometre of line and type of inspection used.

Range of services Documentation

The films images are made available to custom- ers on DVD or a preferred customer medium.

In order to spare the customer the evaluation of what are mostly many hours of material, the detailed analysis is performed by Heli Aviation GmbH. Each individual defect is documented with the precise coordinates and weather conditions in a damage report.

Each anomaly is assessed individually using defined categories and, depending on the type of damage and energy loss, Heli Aviation formulates the appropriate recommendations for action with precise detailed photographs and / or videos.
