With the G2, the French manufacturer Hélicoptères Guimbal has succeeded in developing a high-performance, compact, two-seat helicopter with enormous safety reserves. Thanks to its state-of-the-art technology, the Cabri G2 has outstanding flight characteristics. Among other things, these can be attributed to the very low weight, the 3-blade main rotor and the Fenestron tail rotor.
Outstanding autorotation characteristics, high crash safety, the 3-blade rotor concept and cost-effectiveness make the Cabri one of the best training helicopters in the world.
The cockpit of the Cabri G2 is equipped with a modern multifunctional display, and the 107 kW Lycoming O-360-J2A four-cylinder flat engine powerfully drives the G2 forwards. Thanks to the composite construction, the dead weight remains under 450 kg and the tank volume of 170 litres thus enables flights over a distance of 700 km or up to 5 hours. The Cabri is equipped with a clockwise three-blade main rotor with flapping hinges and swivel joints, with elastomer bearings and dampers, carbon-fibre blades with cores and a seven-blade Fenestron tail rotor. The noise emission in fly by is 75.7 decibels.
